I've been running intervals, snowshoeing, walking, and water aerobics. The other day I ran 2 miles at 7.5 miles per hour on the treadmill. I feel great. Sure, I have temporary twinges and aches and pains, but nothing that keeps me from activity.
Part of me wonders if water aerobics is a miracle. Whatever it is, I'm trying to enjoy it for as long as possible.
I'm scheduled to see an Orthopedist on April 5th for a second opinion. Surgery is scheduled for April 21, and I've just called and left a message telling Dr. 1st opinion I want to push it back to May or June to give me time to mull over the second opinion.
What I'm going to tell Dr. 2nd opinion is that pain is usually 0-2. Right now, I'm interested in physical therapy. Is there any reason I should opt for surgery instead of the conservative route (i.e an obvious indication for arthritis). Of course, given the new level of activity and pain, Dr. 1st opinion may have told me physical therapy too.
