The other day I ran 2 miles at 7.5 miles per hour on the treadmill.  I feel great.  Sure, I have temporary twinges and aches and pains, but nothing that keeps me from activity. Monday was intense- I hiked straight uphill for 3 miles and followed that up with varied terrain and some trecherous steep parts for another 4 miles. I was in a lot of pain on the drive home, but it stopped after I got out of the car. Later that night I was on the elliptical trainer for 30 minutes to loosen things up. Today I went snowshoeing in the Mount Evans Wilderness area. We initially intended to trek on Mount Evans Road, however, there was no snow. At least not enough to require snowshoes. We took off into the trees, swooshing through powder.

1) I am young and healthy (Older people have told me that this makes for an easier recovery. I am not sure about this).
